Congratulations from all of us at ABRSM to the performers taking part in this very special High Scorers’ Concert. These concerts are such a familiar part of the ABRSM world. For many years they have provided opportunities for communities to come together and celebrate the achievements and talents of their musicians as they develop and progress. In some ways, this concert is no different, in connecting people, sharing musical performances and providing inspiration and enjoyment for audience and participants alike.
But, of course, this concert is also very different. It is our first ever Virtual Global High Scorer’s Concert. It’s a concert featuring performers from many countries around the world with an audience that will no doubt stretch even further. It’s a concert that demonstrates the spirit and adaptability of the ABRSM community – from representatives and teachers to learners and their families. And it’s a concert that shows how, with a little help from technology and lot of passion from people, music making will continue to thrive and flourish, no matter what the obstacles may be.
